God did not borrow from neuroscience.
Neuroscience caught up with God.

Two volumes designed to work together — one laying the theological and neurological foundations, the other providing the practical healing ministry course.
What if the researchers did not discover the healing design? What if they only caught up with it? Ancient Paths traces the convergence of Scripture and neuroscience across the entire arc of the Bible — the Sabbath as God's anti-chronic-stress design, the lament psalms as the precise practice that affect-labelling research identifies as the pathway through stored pain, and the healing encounters of Jesus addressing body, identity, and soul in the exact order whole-person healing requires.
For the pastor who wants the mechanism beneath the ministry. The counsellor who knows the body must be included. The sceptic wary of therapeutic culture — because here the argument runs the other way: therapy has been catching up with what was always God's.

📖 Print Book — Lulu.com → 📱 eBook — Lulu.com →Healed, Not Managed is a six-week Scripture-based course of treatment for adults carrying the soul wounds that research has found to be a major cause of autoimmune and chronic conditions. Wounds that live not only in the soul, but in the nervous system and the immune system — that medication, willpower and positive thinking alone have never been able to reach.
You do not need to have it together to begin. You only need to be willing — and He will do the rest.

About the Author
Marietha du Preez is a South African author and healing minister whose work sits at the intersection of biblical theology and modern neuroscience — not to reduce either, but to show that God's design for human healing was always complete.
Her writing is for healing ministers, pastors, and theologically serious readers engaging with questions of nervous system regulation, trauma, and recovery from a faith perspective.
The central conviction driving both books is simple: the ancient paths were not primitive attempts at what neuroscience later perfected. They were the design. Neuroscience is catching up.
